Director of Clinical Informatics

Epidaurus Health is building Amphitheater, a SaaS solution designed to help payers optimize fulfillment of clinical guidelines for pharmaceutical prior authorizations. We have designed and patented a system in which best-in-class prior authorization guidelines for high-cost specialty medications are digitally curated and secured on a federated network. 

The Director of Clinical Informatics will take ownership of Epidaurus Health’s clinical data curation practice. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical partners as a clinical subject matter expert on the Epidaurus product team.The ideal candidate will strategize with clinical partners and advise on best practices for storing and digitally curating clinical data as well as collaborate with the Epidaurus engineering team to develop algorithms for clinical decision support and automation of clinical reviews.

Required 
– 3-5+ years’ experience working in a clinical environment or in clinical research
– Demonstrated willingness to learn new and emerging technologies
– Working knowledge of HL7/FHIR standards and SCRIPT standard
– Proficiency in Python, R or other language for data analysis
– Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively in interdisciplinary settings
– Advanced knowledge or experience of the pharmaceutical industry
– PharmD or Doctoral degree in Bioinformatics or related field

Preferred
– Knowledge of applied statistical analysis in clinical contexts  (Bayesian modeling, longitudinal data analysis, multivariate methods, and predictive modeling)
– Education, certification or experience in health informatics or health data curation 
– Familiarity with the principles of pharmacogenomics 
– Hands on experience with clinical review processes for prescription prior authorization
